India, December 2027: a major political, security, or economic event.

India's Cancer-Capricorn axis activates twice in December 2027. Ketu over the 5-planet stellium and Mars-Rahu Angarak Yoga directly opposite. The same axis last fired 2019-2020. Pulwama, Modi's re-election, and COVID lockdown all fell inside that window.

The window

Between November 2027 and February 2028, the India Independence chart (15 August 1947) enters its strongest forward window of the 2026–2030 scan. The window centers on December 2027.

India's natal configuration is the most concentrated in the entire Tempora six-chart library. Five planets sit in Cancer: Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus retired 9 May 2026 per engine/ephemeris.py: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Saturn (Mars sits in Gemini 8.59 degrees, not Cancer). This stellium (the term used in modern astronomical and astrological writing for a tight cluster of three or more planets in one sign) is the chart's dominant sensitive axis. Any malefic activation of the Cancer-Capricorn axis has historically correlated with significant national events.

In December 2027 the activation is dual. Ketu transits (Sanskrit gocara, the planet's current sky position relative to the natal chart) into Cancer, placing it directly over the 5-planet stellium. Rahu simultaneously transits into Capricorn. Mars then conjuncts Rahu in Capricorn, forming the Angarak Yoga directly opposite the Cancer stellium. Both arms of the axis fire together, during a Rahu mahadasha (Sanskrit mahā-daśā, the major planetary period), antardasha, pratyantara period retired 9 May 2026 per engine/dasha.py: Mars mahadasha (28 Jan 2024 to 27 Jan 2031), Mercury antardasha (27 Jul 2027 to 23 Jul 2028), Sun pratyantardasha (6 Dec 2027 to 24 Dec 2027).

The signal, in plain terms

A natal stellium concentrates a chart's sensitivity at one position. The Vedic tradition reads such concentrations as fault lines — places where the chart is most readable, and most reactive to outside pressure. India's Cancer stellium is the densest concentration on any of the six national charts Tempora tracks.

When Ketu — the descending lunar node, associated with separation and unexpected exposure — crosses such a stellium, the tradition reads the configuration as a re-examination of foundational themes. The opposite axis (Capricorn for India) becomes a counterweight. When malefic transits arrive on the counterweight at the same time Ketu sits on the stellium, both arms of the axis engage simultaneously. This is the dual-axis activation.

The Mars–Rahu Angarak Yoga adds intensity. Mars carries the quality of sudden action. Rahu amplifies. When the two conjunct on the opposite arm of an active axis, prior nodal-axis activations across this dataset have produced events of national consequence.

The math

Lift ratios

Two of India's nine signatures fire in this window with calibrated lift ratios from the Note #005 backtest:

The malefic-opposition-to-stellium signature has a 1.88× lift on India's chart. Lower than Russia's headline numbers, but India's calibration draws on more events overall — making the asymmetry between window dates and random control dates meaningful even at smaller multiples.

The Rahu-over-stellium signature has a 1.15× lift. Marginal alone. But the dual activation — both axes firing simultaneously — is rare. In the 2026–2030 scan only one window for India crosses this combined threshold. December 2027 is that window.

Backtest precedent

The clearest historical analogue is the 2019–2020 window. Saturn entered Capricorn (sitting on the Capricorn arm of the same axis) while the Cancer stellium responded to outer-planet pressure. The subsequent 18 months produced three events of structural consequence:

• February 2019 — Pulwama attack and Balakot strike. A security event with cross-border consequence at the start of the activation window.
• May 2019 — Modi government re-elected with strengthened majority. A political shift of national consequence inside the window.
• March 2020 — COVID lockdown across India. A health-economic-policy event of unprecedented scale at the closing edge of the window.

The 2027–2028 configuration is not identical to 2019–2020 — Saturn is no longer in Capricorn. Instead the Angarak Yoga substitutes for Saturn's slow-burn pressure with a faster, sharper signal. Combined with the Ketu stellium overlay, the window is comparably charged but oriented differently.

The atomic claim

India's calibrated lift ratios — in context

India's lift ratios are lower than the headline-grabbing Russia signal — but the combination of two independent axis activations firing simultaneously, during a triple-Rahu dasha layer, is the rarer configuration. The dual-axis activation has occurred only twice in the calibration dataset's 30-year window: 2001–2002 and 2019–2020.

The forward call

We expect — and publicly commit to scoring — that India experiences a major political, security, or economic event between November 2027 and February 2028. The event:

• Has national consequence (visible across Indian media within days; not a state-level or regional development)
• Falls into at least one of: a security event (border, internal security, or cross-border action), a political shift (constitutional change, leadership transition, or major policy implementation), or an economic event (currency, financial system, or major regulatory shift of national reach)
• Or — alternatively — India's relationship with a neighboring state or external power becomes publicly contested in this window

Falsifier — what would prove this wrong

1. No qualifying event occurs within ±90 days of December 15, 2027. The window passes quietly.
2. Events that occur are routine — pre-announced policy implementations, scheduled diplomatic events, or continuations of trends already in public view at the time of this article's publication (May 2026).
3. Events occur but are state-level only — without measurable national-level consequence.

Cancer stellium membership and Rahu-Rahu-Rahu dasha attribution: engine canon

On 9 May 2026 Tempora's internal audit (run via engine/dasha.py and engine/ephemeris.py) caught the following errors in this article. The article is reconciled below per the discipline that catches errors should be published, not silently edited.

Error 1. The Cancer stellium membership

Section 1 of this article repeatedly states that India's natal Cancer stellium is composed of Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus. The lede references "the 5-planet stellium" implicitly anchored to that set. The body text (in the section "The signal, in plain terms") states "five planets, Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus, sit in Cancer." The article-level JSON-LD description, the FAQ JSON-LD mechanism block and the rendered FAQ all carry the same membership.

The engine returns a different membership. Running engine/ephemeris.py against the India Independence canonical natal (15 August 1947, 00:00 IST, New Delhi 28.6139 degrees N 77.2090 degrees E, Swiss Ephemeris with True Pushya Paksha PVRN Rao ayanamsha) returns the following positions: Sun Cancer 28.13 degrees in Ashlesha pada 4. Moon Cancer 25.78 degrees in Ashlesha pada 4. Mars Gemini 8.59 degrees in Ardra pada 1. Mercury Cancer 12.81 degrees in Pushya pada 4. Venus Cancer 26.53 degrees in Ashlesha pada 4. Saturn Cancer 27.79 degrees in Ashlesha pada 4. Jupiter Libra 20.19 degrees in Vishakha pada 1. Rahu Taurus 24.81 degrees in Mrigashira pada 1. Ketu Scorpio 24.81 degrees in Jyeshtha pada 1. The Cancer stellium under engine canon contains five planets: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Saturn. Mars sits in Gemini, not Cancer. The cluster is still 5 planets and is still anchored in Cancer, so the article's "densest concentration on any of the six national charts Tempora tracks" framing survives. The functional flavour shifts: Saturn (slow, structural malefic) anchoring against Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus reads differently than Mars (fast, sharp malefic) would. The dual-axis activation argument is unaffected by the substitution, because Ketu transiting Cancer in November 2027 sits over the stellium regardless of which slow body is in it, and Mars-Rahu Angarak Yoga in Capricorn opposite is a transit configuration independent of the stellium's composition. The structural premise of the call stands, with the slow-body composition corrected. The same correction is being applied corpus-wide (see findings/stellium-activations Section 2, Note 006 register card for India December 2027, article 029's whole-article Rahu-MD retirement).

Error 2. The Rahu-Rahu-Rahu dasha attribution

Section 1 of this article repeatedly states that the December 2027 window sits in Rahu mahadasha, Rahu antardasha, Rahu pratyantara. This appears in the lede area, the body section "The window," the atomic-claim block, the TL;DR mechanism bullet and the FAQ JSON-LD mechanism answer.

The engine returns a different dasha state. Running engine/dasha.py from the India natal Moon at Cancer 25.78 degrees (Ashlesha nakshatra pada 4, Mercury sub-lord under Vimshottari) for 15 December 2027 returns: Mars mahadasha 28 January 2024 to 27 January 2031 (7 year period). Mercury antardasha 27 July 2027 to 23 July 2028 (within Mars MD). Sun pratyantardasha 6 December 2027 to 24 December 2027 (within Mars MD, Mercury AD). The Rahu mahadasha for India does not begin until 27 January 2031, three years after the article's window closes. The Rahu-Rahu-Rahu attribution at the December 2027 window is wrong against engine canon at three layers simultaneously (mahadasha, antardasha, pratyantara). The error inherits from Note 006 (now reconciled at commit 4844d44) and from article 029 (now reconciled at commit 6ea1d5d).

The functional implications. A Rahu-Rahu-Rahu attribution carries node-amplification, foreign exposure and sudden-disruption flavour at three layers of the dasha stack. The corrected Mars mahadasha, Mercury antardasha, Sun pratyantardasha attribution carries a quite different functional reading: Mars (sharp, action-oriented malefic) as the multi-year governor over the period, Mercury (communications, commerce, intelligence, information channels) as the within-Mars sub-period, and Sun (state authority, head of government, executive action) as the sub-sub-period inside Mercury at the December 2027 peak. The dual-axis transit geometry the article describes (Ketu over Cancer stellium plus Mars-Rahu Angarak Yoga in Capricorn opposite) lands inside a Mars-Mercury-Sun dasha stack rather than a Rahu-Rahu-Rahu dasha stack. The transit configuration is unchanged. The dasha context at the moment the transit configuration peaks is engine-corrected.

What stands

The forward-call window (1 November 2027 through 28 February 2028, peak 15 December 2027). The dual-axis transit configuration (Ketu over Cancer stellium, Mars-Rahu Angarak Yoga in Capricorn opposite). The 2019-2020 historical analogue (Pulwama and Balakot in February 2019, Modi government re-elected in May 2019, COVID lockdown in March 2020) as a structurally comparable dual-axis activation, with the dasha state of that prior window engine-verified separately as Moon mahadasha and Saturn antardasha rather than the article's prior implicit Rahu-Saturn framing (this correction inherits from the parallel findings/stellium-activations Section 2 reconciliation). The three falsifier conditions. The reconciliation commitment to publish within 30 days of window close. The Indian Independence chart (15 August 1947, 00:00 IST, New Delhi) as the canonical natal.

What retires

The Mars-in-Cancer-stellium attribution (engine returns Mars in Gemini). The Rahu-Rahu-Rahu dasha attribution at the December 2027 window (engine returns Mars MD, Mercury AD, Sun PD). The implicit functional reading that flows from those two errors (a Mars-anchored stellium under a triple-Rahu dasha is not the configuration the chart actually carries).

What is owed

The two cited calibrated lifts (malefic-opposition-to-stellium 1.88x and Rahu-over-stellium 1.15x) were computed against a Note 005 backtest. Note 005 is now under separate reconciliation (commit 67f6396). The India lifts were not directly part of that pass, but the underlying dasha attributions in article 029's India backtest table were all engine-corrected. A second-pass calibration recompute against engine-verified India dasha states is owed before any future India forward call cites the 1.88x and 1.15x lifts as load-bearing. For the current 2027 window the lift figures are preserved with this footnote pending recomputation.
