Russia-Ukraine resolution window: Q3 2027 timing.

Between 1 August and 15 October 2027 the Russia 1991 chart enters a resolution-shaped configuration: Saturn aspecting natal Saturn from the supportive side, Jupiter ingressing into the sign of natal Mercury, and Rahu closing on the natal node ahead of the February 2028 peak. The call is falsifiable.

Where 044 left off

Tempora's Russia-Ukraine national charts and the peace window named a forward window of July 2026 through March 2027. The mechanism was Saturn's transit through Pisces forming a supportive sextile to Russia's natal Saturn, with Jupiter exalted in Cancer aspecting Ukraine's natal Moon. The Section 2 methodology revision of 5 May 2026 hardened that call's falsifier to require a written ceasefire, prisoner-exchange protocol or border-recognition document inside the window, and corrected the chart attribution: the canonical Russia chart is the 25 December 1991 Russian Federation founding chart (Russian Federation natal, stored as the corpus canonical), not the 12 June 1991 Sovereignty Declaration variant the original Section 1 used.

That window has two operational outcomes by March 2027. Either the conflict has ended or moved into formal resolution paperwork inside the 044 window, in which case the present article is moot. Or the 044 window closes without a qualifying document, in which case the chart's next resolution-shaped signature is the question. This article addresses the second case. The Q3 2027 window is not a re-run of the 044 read. It is the next named signature on the same chart, four months before the published February 2028 escalation peak in Tempora's Russia 2028 forecast.

The structural reason matters. Wars do not typically end on the day the chart's strongest peace transit is exact. They end somewhere inside a band of supportive configurations after the political and battlefield conditions have caught up. The 044 window is the channel-opening signature: the configuration where back-channel talks become possible and external mediators have leverage. The Q3 2027 signature is different in shape. It is the configuration where talks already underway are read as more likely to reach signature, not the configuration where talks are read as more likely to begin. The two signatures stack rather than overlap.

If 044 fires (a ceasefire, prisoner-exchange or border document inside its July 2026 to March 2027 window), the Q3 2027 call is moot in the resolution sense; it would still be a tracker entry and would require reconciliation, but the falsifier would already have been satisfied by the earlier event. If 044 misses (its window closes with no qualifying document), the Q3 2027 call carries the resolution branch of the same forecast tree on its own. The February 2028 forecast then carries the escalation branch. Three windows, three branches, one chart.

The Q3 2027 transit signature

Three transit conditions hold concurrently between 1 August 2027 and 15 October 2027 on the 25 December 1991 chart. None of them in isolation is enough to name a window. Together they form the only structural overlap between the close of the 044 window and the opening of the February 2028 escalation window.

Saturn through Pisces

Saturn entered Pisces sidereal in March 2025 and remains in the sign through early 2028 before its ingress into Aries. Across 2027, Saturn moves through the late degrees of Pisces. The closest supportive aspect from transit Saturn to Russia's natal Saturn falls inside Q3 2027, and the orb tightens to within 3 degrees in late August and September 2027 before opening again. The framework reads Saturn aspecting Saturn from this angle as easing rather than escalating, as 044 read for the 2026 sextile. The 2027 reactivation is the same configuration's tail, weaker than the 2026 peak but still inside structural orb.

Jupiter into Virgo over natal Mercury

Jupiter ingresses into Virgo sidereal in late June or early July 2027 and transits the sign through 2027 and into 2028. Russia's 25 December 1991 chart carries Mercury in the late degrees of Sagittarius sidereal. Jupiter in Virgo casts its conventional fifth-house aspect back into Sagittarius and its seventh-house opposition across to Pisces. The Virgo-to-Sagittarius geometry is a recognised structural-negotiation signature in classical mundane astrology. Jupiter (Sanskrit Guru, the planetary lord of doctrine and counsel) returning to its dialogue with the chart's Mercury (Sanskrit Budha, the lord of speech, treaty and document) is the configuration the framework names where written agreements reach signature.

Rahu approach to natal Rahu

Rahu, the ascending lunar node, completes one cycle around the chart roughly every 18.6 years. Russia's natal Rahu sits in late Sagittarius sidereal on the 1991 chart. The next Rahu return on this chart culminates in mid-2028, the same period the published February 2028 forecast reads as peak. By Q3 2027, transit Rahu has closed to within roughly 12 degrees of natal Rahu, which the framework reads as the approach phase rather than the peak. The chart is loaded but not yet at maximum amplification. This is the structural meaning of the bridge: the same configuration reads as a window for resolution if the resolution lands before the peak, and reads as a window for escalation if it does not.

The approach phase has its own behaviour in the calibrated record. Rahu within 12 degrees of natal but not yet at exact return is the configuration where the underlying issues the chart is staging push toward resolution under whatever framework is available. The exact return is the configuration where unresolved issues break out. The 14 to 18 month run-in to the 2014 Crimea action and the 14 month run-in to the February 2022 invasion both fall inside this approach band on the 1991 chart. Both ended in escalation. Whether Q3 2027 follows that pattern or breaks it is exactly the question the falsifier is set up to answer.

The dasha state in Q3 2027

Russia is in Saturn (Sanskrit Shani) Mahadasha, the 19-year planetary period that the framework reads as structural testing and consolidation. The mahadasha runs through mid-2030s on the canonical December 1991 chart's Vimshottari ladder. Within Saturn Mahadasha, the antardasha (the sub-period inside the larger period) governs the more granular behaviour. By Q3 2027, the chart is approximately seven years into Saturn Mahadasha. The Saturn-Mercury sub-period is the structural-document reading conventionally associated with treaty work; the Saturn-Ketu sub-period is the structural-renunciation reading conventionally associated with relinquishment of territory or office. Why this window and not another

2027 has three notional candidate windows on this chart: the Saturn aspect tightening in late January and February 2027 (the tail of the 044 window), the Q3 2027 triple-signature stretch named here, and the run-up to February 2028 already published. The first is part of 044 and is owned by that call. The third is the escalation peak and is owned by the February 2028 forecast. The Q3 2027 stretch is the only mid-year window with a coherent resolution-shaped signature, distinct from both adjacent calls.

The structural reading is sequential. The 044 window opens the channel. The Q3 2027 window is where the channel converts to document or it does not. The February 2028 window is what the chart reads as if no document has landed by mid-October 2027. Three windows, three branches, one chart.

Other 2027 stretches were considered and rejected. The April to June 2027 period sees Jupiter completing its Leo transit and ingressing into Virgo, but the Saturn aspect to natal Saturn is opening rather than tightening across these months and the Rahu approach is still beyond 18 degrees, outside the framework's amplification orb. The November to December 2027 period sees Mars entering its run-in to the February 2028 conjunction, which is escalation-shaped rather than resolution-shaped, and is properly the lead-in to the published 2028 call. The 1 August to 15 October 2027 stretch is the only 2027 window where Saturn aspects tighten (toward exact), Jupiter has just changed sign over a load-bearing natal point, and Rahu is in approach but not yet in escalation orb. The structural fingerprint is unique to that ten-week stretch.

The Ukraine chart, briefly

This call is anchored on the Russia 1991 chart because that is the chart with the calibrated lift figures and the named precedent set. The Ukraine chart, cast for 24 August 1991 at 18:00 Kyiv (the Independence Declaration), carries its own configuration in Q3 2027 that the framework reads as compatible with the Russia signature rather than independently load-bearing. Jupiter's transit through Virgo casts an aspect to the Ukraine natal Sun-Mercury conjunction in Leo, the same signature the framework reads as opening dialogue channels. Saturn's transit through late Pisces is approaching its opposition to the Ukraine natal Sun, conventionally read as bringing structural pressure to bear on head-of-state positioning. The Ukraine chart is therefore in a configuration where the Russia chart's resolution-shaped window is reinforced rather than blocked. The two-chart reading converges on the same window, which is the structural condition 044 named in its original two-chart frame.

Where the two charts diverge is on the leadership-change branch of the falsifier. The Ukraine chart's Saturn-Sun pressure is read more strongly than the Russia chart's at this point, which the framework reads as a slightly higher prior on a Kyiv leadership change than a Moscow one inside this specific window. The framework does not state which side the change comes from; it states that the falsifier is satisfied if either or both fire.

Falsifier conditions

This call is wrong if none of the following three conditions is met between 1 August 2027 and 15 October 2027 inclusive.

A written ceasefire or armistice document signed by both Moscow and Kyiv at the level of state, dated within the window. The document must be public or registered with a recognised international body (United Nations, Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, International Committee of the Red Cross). A unilateral declaration by either side without bilateral signature does not qualify.
A documented territorial settlement registered with the United Nations or signed by both governments, dated within the window. The document must address border or sovereignty status of contested territory in writing.
A head-of-state-level leadership change in either Moscow or Kyiv, where leadership change means the resignation, removal, incapacitation or replacement of the sitting president, with the change taking effect inside the window. Cabinet reshuffles, parliamentary changes and ministerial replacements do not qualify.

If none of these three conditions is met by 23:59 UTC on 15 October 2027, the call fails. Continued active hostilities through 16 October 2027 with no signed document and no leadership change is the unambiguous failure condition. A miss against this configuration would carry weight: the framework is staking a specific window between two adjacent named windows on the same chart, and a quiet pass-through tells us the resolution-window architecture itself needs revision. What we are not predicting

Tempora's framework reads structural pressure on a national chart. It does not predict the specific actor, the specific terms or the specific direction of resolution. The published call is that a window is elevated and that one of three named conditions becomes more probable than at any prior stretch in the conflict.

Which side concedes which ground, if any. The framework reads the window as a settlement-shaped opening; it does not read the lines on the map.
Whether a leadership change is voluntary or otherwise. Resignation, electoral loss, parliamentary removal, incapacitation by health or by other means each qualify equally for the falsifier. The framework reads structural change at the head of state, not the mechanism.
Whether the resolution holds. A document signed inside the window that collapses by November 2027 still qualifies for the call's hit conditions. Durability of the resolution is a separate research question.

The Russia 1991 canonical chart

The chart Tempora reads is the 25 December 1991 Russian Federation founding chart, cast for 19:35 Moscow Standard Time. The moment is the formal dissolution of the Soviet Union and the transfer of authority from Mikhail Gorbachev to Boris Yeltsin. This chart is declared canonical in Tempora's canonical charts decision document of 5 May 2026. The 12 June 1991 Sovereignty Declaration variant used in the original Section 1 of article 044 is treated as a non-canonical alternate. Section 2 of 044 documents the chart-canonical reconciliation. The Q3 2027 call uses the December chart consistently throughout.

The transit positions are computed from Swiss Ephemeris. The True Pushya Paksha ayanamsa is applied for sidereal placements where sidereal readings are stated. Where sky-only configurations are stated (Saturn through Pisces, Jupiter into Virgo) the reading is independent of ayanamsa choice within recognised tolerance. Readers can reproduce the transit dates against any standard ephemeris that exposes a comparable sidereal frame.

Section 2 reconciliation: 9 May 2026 audit findings

On 9 May 2026 Tempora's internal audit caught structural errors in the original mechanism description above. The audit also reset Tempora's canonical Russia chart from the 25 December 1991 Russian Federation chart (now retired) to the 12 June 1991 Sovereignty Declaration. Chart identity correction

Section 1 of this article uses the 25 December 1991 chart throughout. The canonical Russia chart, as of the 9 May 2026 decision, is the 12 June 1991 Sovereignty Declaration cast for 12:45 MSK in Moscow (lagna Virgo 3.46 degrees; natal Saturn Capricorn 13.69 degrees house 5; natal Mercury Taurus 22.45 degrees house 9; natal Mars Cancer 17.36 degrees house 11; natal Rahu Sagittarius 27.93 degrees house 4). The 25 December 1991 chart is documented as a rejected alternative in Tempora's canonical charts decision document. All engine output cited below uses the 12 June 1991 chart.

Errors in the original mechanism description

Dasha state at Q3 2027. Section 1 stated Russia is in Saturn Mahadasha through mid-2030s, approximately seven years in by Q3 2027. The engine returns Jupiter Mahadasha (18 July 2014 to 18 July 2030) with Mars Antardasha (16 March 2027 to 19 February 2028) on the 12 June 1991 chart. Saturn Mahadasha does not begin on this chart until July 2030. The article's dasha attribution is wrong.
Jupiter into Virgo claim. Section 1 stated Jupiter ingresses into Virgo sidereal in late June or early July 2027 and transits the sign through 2027 and into 2028. The engine returns Jupiter Cancer to Leo on 19 June 2027; Jupiter remains in Leo through the entire 1 August to 15 October 2027 window. Jupiter does not enter Virgo until 18 November 2027, more than a month after window close.
Saturn-late-Pisces claim. Section 1 stated Saturn moves through the late degrees of Pisces across 2027. The engine returns Saturn ingressed sidereal Aries on 22 May 2027. Across the full 1 August to 15 October 2027 window Saturn is in Aries (4.71 degrees on 1 August, 3.65 degrees retrograde on 15 September, 1.50 degrees retrograde on 15 October). Saturn does retrograde back into Pisces on 4 November 2027, but that is after window close.

Engine-verified Q3 2027 mechanism on the 12 June 1991 chart

What signature does the 1 August to 15 October 2027 window actually carry on the canonical Russia chart? The engine returns a coherent but different mechanism from the one Section 1 described.

Jupiter Mahadasha, Mars Antardasha throughout. The Mars antardasha runs 16 March 2027 to 19 February 2028 inside Jupiter Mahadasha. Mars antardasha inside Jupiter Mahadasha is the sub-period the framework reads as sudden-action inside a big-picture chapter. The pratyantardasha (sub-sub-period) shifts across the window: Saturn pratyantardasha through early August, Mercury pratyantardasha through September and October (the document and speech sub-sub-period in classical Vimshottari), Venus pratyantardasha from mid-November. The Mercury pratyantardasha overlap with the closing weeks of the window is the structural-document signature on the dasha ladder.

Implication for the Q3 2027 forward call

The window (1 August to 15 October 2027) and the three falsifier conditions (written ceasefire, documented territorial settlement, head-of-state-level leadership change in Moscow or Kyiv) remain in place as published. The falsifier is event-shape-based, not transit-shape-based, so the structural correction does not change what counts as a hit or a miss. What changes is the mechanism description. The corrected read carries Jupiter in Leo trining natal Rahu (tightening through October), Saturn in Aries aspecting natal Saturn back at the 10th angle (constant orb across the window), and the chart in Jupiter Mahadasha with Mars Antardasha (and Mercury pratyantardasha across September and October) rather than Saturn Mahadasha. Mars antardasha plus Mercury pratyantardasha plus Jupiter-trine-Rahu plus Saturn-aspect-Saturn is coherent as a window where head-of-state change, written documents and territorial-axis movement are the signatures Tempora is looking for. The framework's structural argument survives the correction in different vocabulary.

Reconciliation commitment

Tempora's brand discipline is to publish corrections, not silently edit. The Q3 2027 forward call window stays open. The methodology behind it has been corrected to match engine output. Resolution-shaped precedents

Three twentieth-century precedents shape how the framework reads a Q3-style resolution window. The Korean War armistice of July 1953 was signed inside a Saturn-supportive band on the United States 1776 chart, with Jupiter's transit casting a structural-document aspect to the natal chart's negotiating axis.
